Hello guys i want to upgrade my front brakes to some ventilated disc!
I was thinking about getting the brake Caliper and some new dics form a 1,4 100hp Fiat 500? will it fit with my SPINDLE form my twinair 85 or do i have to get new spindles? to bolt them on?

Can I ask why you want to upgrade the front brakes?

We have a 2011 TA85 and the brakes are excellent.

Best wishes,
Mick.

They are not good for track use because they are solid. My TA makes 130 BHP and I really need the Abarth 289 mm disc and calibers in front.

Re: twinair 85 brake upgrade?

You'll need a master cylinder/ proportioning valve too I'd imagine, which means you'll have to go to rear discs as well.

Remember that adding bigger brakes means adding more weight, so you want them to be as small as you can get away with.

On a normal circuit, I've found that the TA85 brakes are OK as they don't need to be used very often and have a long time to cool down between applications.

On a motokhana type layout, they stink really badly after a lap but they've never actually faded.

Just speaking for myself, but I'd get light weight wheels to help braking first, then add coilovers so I can carry more speed and hopefully get away with just lightly upgraded stock sized pads and discs.

What have you done to get 130hp?

You did get the caliper brackets too, yes? and have checked the whole lot will fit inside your wheels, just a thought.
