I have a 2010 500 Lounge in 'Bianco'. I am trying to get a new nearside front wing and have located one that has been removed from a 2013 vehicle. It is white but they do not have the color details.

Unfortunately I am not too familiar with the color options that were/are available for the 500. Am I at risk of getting another shade of white (ie not Bianco) if I purchase this wing?

Many thanks

A call to fiat customer services should help but to be sure you really need the paint code. There are many different shades of white and if the new one is different you are just as well with any colour! Also be aware that although the new wing may be the same colour there is no guarantee that the match will be perfect. That being said, white is easier to match than some other colours.

There are only 3 different shades of white on UK 500's. Bossa nova white, funk white and a white I can't remember that's on the by Gucci. Bossa nova white is solid, funk white is pearlescent and the by Gucci one kind of has glitter in it. Is yours bossa nova white or funk white? It's quite easy to tell and easy for aa breaker to tell also

This is all great stuff, thanks very much so far.

I think I have made some progress. The company selling the wing have given me the chassis number from the vehicle, and in turn Fiat Customer Services tell me the color code is 268 which is Bosa Nova white. My color code sticker although has Bianco Bianco stamped on it has a color code of 268!

So, looks like a good result, and the wing has been ordered with the proviso that they will take it back if its an obvious mismatch.

Thank you!

I have found that very slight colour mismatches can show up under street lights when it is dark. I had a Porsche which one front wing would look slightly different under street lights. Could have been that it was red and the orange street lights made the difference so may not work with white. But either way, look at it under a couple of different lighting situations before you make your mind up as once you see even a slight difference you will never be able to "un-see" it!

Sodium lighting is a bugger when it comes to colours. You're right though, there could be batch to batch differences

I think the colours have different names in diffent countries. Mine is BNW, but from memory I'm pretty sure the paint code label has 268 and Bianco on it.
