I haven't got a manual in front of me at the moment and the search didn't turn up anything meaningful. Does anyone know the coolant type I need for the 1.4 and what the mix ratio with water is? Top up time but need to order some coolant first.

You ned the red coolant (some are green and blue but you need to put the red) in normal climates ( uk included) 50/50 ratio

Awesome, thanks. I was balancing 10 things at once and my brain wasn't closing the cooling synapse. :D

Paraflu UP. So basically any red OAT type coolant. Mix as per the directions on the bottle I'd say :)

Jason, I'd drain the system, flush it with a hose and fill it with the Halfords Red stuff as it can be forgotten about for 5 years then.

Either buy it ready mixed from halfords or concentrate and its around 1:1 mix, but check with what it says on the bottle.

Failing that just get the ready mixed and bung it in if you don't want to do a complete change.

You know anyone locally to you with a Halfords Trade card
