That looks great, how long did it take you to fit?.

Also does it play ok with the current B&M system or is that disabled once this is installed?.

I have gone for the TomTom Live 2 with my new 500c as I cant live without the "Live Traffic" , but would consider this a great addition

Looks very good...so come on does it work with the steering wheel controls? Is it just a plug in and it works? What are the maps like on the satnav? Whats the set up with the blowers for the aircon?
one other thing where are you? I would love to come and have a look at it working

Dont worry about telling me where you live...I can see from the sat nav screen and you are miles away.

hi
you can install tomtom maps on this also you can upgrade to tomtom live for around $40.00.steering wheel function still work but you loose B&M.also you can still use the vent controls as you lift up the 500 sign in the middle to open/close vents.
alot of money but you only live once so live it.

I think its a fairly good deal when you consider the features you get, bear in mind the TomTom Live 2 unit from Fiat is £350 ish + another £45 a year for live and £50 a year for new maps

So I think for something that looks as good as this unit does once its installed the price aint too hefty..

Did it just plug into the existing plugs behind the stereo? and does your car have intrascope?

Yeah it's plug and play and yes it's got the interscope system.also the subwoofer still works as well, also you can store 10 CDs on the inboard memory

Fiat should have made this a option from new,it looks factory fitted to be honest

I ordered one a few weeks back and it turned up today.
The other car that I just got has a nav system so I got one for the 500.
It comes with a reversing camera that I will have a play around with when I have a bit more time.

I have only just had a few mins to play around with it and it seems good.

Ian, you just have too much time on your hands. :p

Nice job though and look forward to hearing about how difficult it was to fit and connect up. Did you have to forfeit anything from the standard functions at all?

Great thread,

Has anyone successfully installed TomTom to the device?

Are you using the device with an iPhone? If so, does it load up the phone book etc...? How good is the call feature?

Very tempted to buy one of these as my B&M is shafted with the garage asking for £550 to replace the convergence unit (just out of warranty).

Already took £135 to replace the usb port, of which I told them wouldn't fix it :bang:

Also, has anyone experienced a flashing odometer when using this stereo? Apparently this can come up when the CANBUS isn't working as it should... Hoping that this won't happen as this stereo seems to support all the CANBUS stuff (steering controls, power on with ignition etc).

Any advice, greatly appreciated.

Have they disconnected the battery, left it a while and reconnected it? I think I've only heard of one properly faulty B&M unit before.
