...but I'm glad I did today, as we sold a 500C to Richard Hammond :D

(Yes, that Richard Hammond, the short one on Top Gear)

'10' plate 1.3 16v MultiJet 95 Lounge in Bossa Nova White with Ivory-Black Cloth/Black Ambience, Chrome Door Mirrors and Side Rubbing Strips with 500 Logo.

I had to drive from Gloucester to Bristol and back to collect it, but it was worth it as he (well, actually, his wife, as it's her car) loved it and bought it on the spot

Now, does anyone want to buy a very tidy Volvo 940 2.3 SE Turbo Estate in Maroon on an 'N' plate with only 47,000 miles and Hamsters name on the V5C? :p

Wow - It's always wierd when you meet someone famous, you expect them to be different but they're just normal!

Glad he likes the 500c though, given his background, it must mean something. Unless his wife is like me, loved it on sight, and just had to have one! :p

He personally bought it or was it bought for an upcoming Top Gear sequence?

he personally brought it for his wife it would seem

plus i doubt they would go to a dealer to get one for a show and most definitely wouldn't send hamster to do it and trade in his old volvo

isnt there certain rules about publicly releasing information like this or is it just frowned upon

As part of his contract with the BBC he is not allowed to publicly endorse any company etc, but he told the GM of our branch that sold the car that there is nothing stopping us telling people he bought it from us.

i dont care just curious
If he'd posted the plate or something then yes but lets be honest, is Mrs Hammond really bothered that people know she drives a 500c? She's hardly the sort of person the paparazzi are going to be chasing is she.
