Just driving down the road and I heard a feint clunk and my cluth pedal has gone really hard, can't press the clutch down!!

Any ideas?

That sounds like something has gone awry where the lever that the clutch pedal operates fits into the bellhousing. Without the engine running, can you freely move the gear lever from slot to slot, and if so does it feel 'right'?

I think there might be only two options. If the road is quiet and there aren't too many traffic lights on the way home, start the car in first gear (it'll lurch a fair bit!). Once it's rolling, it's possible to change gear up and down. Change down by slipping the lever into neutral, blip the throttle a good bit, then the lever should slip into the next gear down. Up changes are done by slipping into neutral, then pressing the lever home to the up change.

Failing that, I think it's a recovery job, tow or trailer home/to garage.

Turns out that it was a Master Cylinder Failure (well done Grimwau) and being repaired under warranty

Should have the car back tomorrow evening... hopefully...

I'm missing it.... :yum:

Just to complete and finish off this thread,

Got my car back from the dealers this afternoon all fixed under warranty, so thanks to Guest Motors (Fiat Dealer).

Turned out to be a seized Clutch Master Cylinder.

Happy days, got my car back

Yay :yum:
