I am get a noise from my near side front wheel when braking. The dealer claims the pads just need wearing in, but to me the sound seems electronic not a wearing or rubbing noise.
I am also noticing the nosie now when turning and going over speed bumps, any ideas

Mine beeps a bit from the dash on the brakes - been told it's just the ABS/EBD sorting itself out.. fairly faint, and usually under a light load..

Brake beep -ABS ISSUES
Is anyone else experiencing this problem, it went back to Fiats today to replace apart in the ABS system. On collection I was informed all was resolved but after the first brackingthe noise was still there.
I subsequently went straight back to Fiat who had no answer for the problem but said they would be in discussion with the manufacturer.
I was informed prior to thid part being replaced that if the ABS was faulty it would cost in the region of £1000 to replace, which would require approval form the manufacturer before replacement.
All owners beware, should anyone experience this fault.

I used to hear a beep when heavy breaking when the car was new, thought it was just something coming to action due to heavy breaking, don't remember hearing it of late though...

It's because Fiat are trialing their new digital brakes on the 500.

The brakes on my wifes 1.2 pop, make a ratchiting sound when the brakes are first used, they then work fine for the rest of the journey. its not the discs rusting as the car may have have only stopped 2 minutes and will make the ratchit noise again when the brakes are applied the first time, it all seems very strange to me. any ideas?

Mine make a strange noise too at the start of my 1 long journey, by 5 mins they seem ok - and remain so.

Very strange

If I pull the handbrake lever while driving I get an audible beep. Never had it whilst braking with the peddle though.
