Tuning steering wheel

The steering wheel does look a bit simpler, but it feels a lot cheaper and just isn't as nice as the leather wheel.

My POP was specked to death by the previous owners wife, over 3k worth of extras (y)
The standard steering wheels fine be me, as leather wheels start to fade and mark after awhile.

Ivory or black?

If I was going for Ivory then I can see how the Pop wheel would last better, I went for the black as couldn't trust myself with Ivory leather :)

Not sure I'd agree with this.

This is the wheel on the wifes Subaru and it's in much much better condition than most non-leather wheels on newer cars. I doubt it's ever been cleaned or treated in any way either. Almost 16 years old and it looks just fine, better than the wheel looked in my 406 which had done half the mileage and was 4 years younger.

Damn shiny though. Ok if you like that shagged out look.
It's a 15 year old car, what do you expect? My point was merely that leather doesn't necessarily wear any worse than plasticky or rubbery wheels. It's only shiny because of the flash anyway.

If you look after it, the leather wheel should last years and years without fading, gaining stains etc. even if it is Ivory. If the colour does start to go weird just get some LTT Leather Cleaner or Gliptone and it'll look as good as new in no time!
