It takes the same sort of mentality IMO. What's the point of reducing the resale value of your car just so you can make the car a little louder (or whatever). It would only cross the mind of a chav or a boy racer.

Also, from what I've seen, when a chav decides to make a small 'improvement' it leads to another and another and.... You get the idea
