I am so so happy when they did the little sketch of all those 500's in Notting Hill in London, I think that it was rather staged though! But I am happy that they love the Fiat 500 on Top Gear.

I got all excited seeing all those 500's.

I can't say I mind too much - it must be doing our residuals a lot of good!
we spent the whole program saying "why haven't they chosen the 500", so how happy were we when we were proved right!!

They're talking up Fiat because it has the most charming range of cars out there, and they are getting better by the month. What other manufacturer actually makes cars people WANT for themselves to enjoy, as opposed to please the neighbours?
The 500 is a genuinely good small car and better than all 3 of the other cars they picked - simple as that
It is great to see Fiat getting some good publicity for once! It's well deserved with what they've done with the 500 and Abarth.

61dB at 50mph in the Mito though, it's a lot quieter than the 500....

Is it my imagination, or does the Mito "look kinda funny"? It looks good from some angles, but really odd from the rear, and some sections look like they're from a larger car. Bit of a mish-mash??
I've had 3 Perodua Nippas! 850cc 3 cylinder engine, great fun! Like an old Mini only more practical and reliable! In fact, they were the most reliable cars i had, not even any squeaks/rattles etc. Quite nippy too

Firstly the BBC can't accept money from companies for advertising. It is illegal for them to do so.
Secondly Michael Schumacher is the greatest F1 driver of the modern age and drives for Ferrari so that kind of explains him being on and the 500 is a really good car which a lot of people actually like because of the fact it's not pretentious like the Mini and it's cheap (ish) and cheerful without being nasty like most other cars in its class. Kind of a no-brainer there.

Anyway, I have to admit to getting the same warm fuzzy feeling when I saw all those 500s - it was obviously staged, so I wondered if anyone here appeared in the film? I'd have thought they would have asked members of this forum to take part???

Do you know who they sold the fourth one to?
They were all Fiat UK Cars (they all had R*58 or R*09 plates) so no, they won't have asked anyone to be involved.
I think the 4th one was sold in North Wales as well. I always see one parked on the way from Llandudno Junction to Betws y Coed.
