Question for all those with Bossa Nova white 500s. It definately seems to be the most common colour out on the roads and was just curious to know why? I dont dislike it but with all the gorgeous colours available why do so many choose white, is it because its free and the only other free colour the "doom" blue. Cant beleive there arent more yellow ones about too, that was my first choice but no ivory allowed:(

I personally like BNW best. I think it suits the car perfectly. I also think it looks great on the dash with the black ambiance.

I think Funk White is also a great colour, but can't justify the cost. Red is nice with the red leather.

I test drove a yellow one, and whilst I liked it, I just know i'd get irritated by the yellow dash in a short space of time.

I think a lot of people go for it because if you're going for base model, its excellent value.

I think its partly cost but also white combined with any interior won;t upset..Imagine a doom blue car with a red interior  (feel free to disagree)

LOL, funnily enough I had actually ordered a doom blue car with red leather when I saw my orange one!!! Honestly, I thought the red would really set the doom off nicely. Lots of old 500s were blue with red interiors.

I dont think you really could mess a 500 combo up.. its a funky car that lend itself well to the more unusual schemes. Id like to see a yellow with red leather:):) Maybe mod blue with tan leather might look awful though.

It wasn't cost (or lack of) that made me choose BNW it was my preferred colour. After all, if it was down to cost then I wouldn't have spent another £1500 on options. It is the same with the engine choice, why pay all that extra for a diesel when my annual mileage will be circa 6000 miles, any money saved from it's better MPG will never be recovered.

I have to admit that I did use the configurator to try every colour out before coming to my decision and I think that I chose it mainly because of how it complemented some of my options.

I went for BNW as the Funk White was not available for launch.

I wanted red leather as well as keeping the retro look. 7 months in and I sometimes feel I wish I had chosen differently looking at some of the beautiful combo's fellow FF members have on here, but when Luigi is clean I still smile at him, so it can't be bad !

I really wish you could have the ivory ambience with the sport though....

I Liked it soon as i walked into the showroom,it also helped with choosing my spec( or it saved me a bob or two) i liked the funk white but 700 pounds was steep so with what i saved i ended up with the opening roof which i love.:)

I just loved the white, I think it suits the car so well. The cost was an issue for me, I would have liked to have yellow but I had only just had a brand new car when I broke the news to Mr Snowball that I really really REALLY wanted a Fiat 500:eek: after much eyelash fluttering and sad face pulling 'we' decided that we could afford it if we didn't add anything over and above the basic spec, it was that or not have it. The decision didn't take much thinking about! There are lots of options I would have liked but you can't miss things when you never had them in the first place and I wouldn't have Bella any other way now.

I love my spec, you hardly see any with the red sport stripe which helps to break up the white.

Heidi, I got that wrong, I thought it was you that had to persuade him, you should keep him for a little while longer, at least 'til after you've got your Xmas prezzies.

I originally wanted Ye Ye Green but he said the only way he'd let me have a new 500 was if i chose FW as he knew I'd like it 'in the flesh' so to speak. He was right - I hate to admit it though. I love the Ye Ye Green but I think my FW looks proper Bo with the red leather seats!

No xmas presents for each other this year - spending all our spare cash on the boy instead :(

I agree that white reflects the retro look/feel of the car; unless you go for a sporty red or black look.
It seems that a lot of the FIAT publicity is of white cars, so they obviously knew it would be the most popular.
White seems to making a comeback on some very expensive cars too?
