Yep, not a car to be in with a hangover! Shame I'm cultivating one as we speak!

Zakkala - the car looks stunning. Couple of questions - did you order the A bar to be factory fitted, or dealer fitted? Also, having got it from the Chesterfield dealers, does this mean we can expect to see you driving round the Chesterfield area?? At least I'll know whether to be keeping an eye out for you - mind you, you shouldn't be too hard to spot:D

Andy, I'm a musician and an audiophile and I have done extensive tests on the CD player. I was not disappointed. Beethoven's 9th sounds excellent. It's not bad at all for a standard spec.
Would have loved the interscope but can't do with a september delivery...

The bonnet related chrome stuff was dealer fit, yep.

Nuouvapanda - your 80s stuff will sound spot on. Just like mine!

As for being round Chesterfield way, I actually live in Swinton, work in Sheffield, so you'll be more likely to see me round that way.

I was told A bars and the like are all dealer fitted as they are accessories and not actual options.

Thanks for that. I didn't order the A bar and I'm still undecided if I want to add it or not....

Suasexed - £14,000. Hubby was there when I paid the final balance today; there's no hiding any more.

On the up side - I have the more expensive car.

On the down side - he has a Clio Tophy, so until the Abarth SS with tuning kit comes out, he has the more powerful car.

But once I have my Abarth SS, I'll show him a thing or two. :p

Other week I told a work colleague that I was about to spend £12320 on a 500 and he laughed in my face!!!!

This from a guy who spent £26000 on a new A3 turbo (FWD)!!!

£14000 is very respectable for a car that turns more heads than a vehicle with an extra naught on the end of that!

Yep, my favourite was they guy driving the Mercedes with the test plates that almost broke his neck looking at my wee vehicle!

I do love a good mercedes, esp new C-class and SL but for the money AND looks the 500 is just such a....well we're all aware of the superlatives, let's just say it makes mercedes look grey....

Only just matched in cute factor by the nissan figaro imo, was gonna get one of those before I'd heard FIAT was relaunching the 500

I think this is indeed summed up by the bloke test driving a silver Merc (on trade plates, obv) who was paying more attention to a certain yellow car than to the ravings of his coked up sales bod.

Quite agree. I have an A3 Turbo. I chose it over an A6 TDI as a company car. With its 18" alloys, S-line body styling and in bright red somebody *might" just give it a second glance over the black and silver standard A4s and A6s in the company car park.

However, I can't wait to park the wife's 500 in there (when she lets me!) as that will get far more looks.

I can't believe how excited we all are waiting for it when we have a car costing twice the price already on the drive (and we *do* rate the Audi, the 2.0TFSI is a cracking engine, though having had Alfas previously, Italian styling is still where the heart is)

Cheers

Crying!!!

Zakkala I just remembered....Is your Blue&Me working ok and which phone are you using?

Have you done any extensive testing etc?

(I have an N95 and know that there is a complicated procedure to link it with Blue&Me but that's for the Blue&Me thread)

You do realise the Figaro is a Micra K10 (the square ones) with a turbo and auto box? They drive very badly and under the prettiness they rot out just like the K10s did, and the engines dont last very long, even a std K10 without turbos struggles to get past 100,000 miles.
