I get better MPG in my 1.9 diesel than i did in that 1.2 petrol! Thats another reason!

then you were driving it wrong. can get a god 40mpg and a bit (i dont have eco drive so dont know my exact figures) out of the 1.2 with eaase if you drive it properly.

Obviously cant be true otherwise you wouldnt of bought a derv.

hmm cars i learned in offroad originally 2.5crd jeep cherokee and 3.0crd jeep grand cherokee then cars i learned in on the road 1.2 corsa d and then a fabia tdi (reputed as one of the most enjoyable diesels to drive)

so biased i think not.


i have no desire to drive a tractor or a transit (which most diesels seem to sound like) id have a peetrol anyday and if i wated economy id go for a smaller engine.
