All visible screws were removed, including the one in the middle of the windshield. I did not remove the heater matrix yet.
The thing sticks along the windshield and I could not find any "visible" or "touchable" fasteners from below. Is it possible that the dashboard is welded to the plastic piping that ends below the hood
All tips are very much appreciated.
(I swear that the words "While I am at this..." are the fastest highway to hell. This started as a simple installation of a new radio ).

On the back corners are two clips. You unclip them by swearing at them lots and pulling. Eventually they break free (sometimes they break off).

You'll be happy to know that reinstalation is dead easy, you just position and push.

I have found that removing the dash is easier with the windscreen removed!!! because you can get screw drivers down in there and push the metal tabs back.

Thank you very much for your valuable input, gentlemen!

You may find it interesting that the "While I am at this" spell was cast on me again  - I am seriously considering changing the windshield before continuing with the dashboard as the current one is somewhat scratched and I have a brand new windshield somewhere in the shed which I bought for my previous Uno some 2 years ago...

Good plan :)

For fitting the windscreen (after you finish your dashboard) I found that silicone spray around the (clean) sealing grommet, and a length of rope pushed into the groove, works well. Probably start from the bottom centre, and with a friend pushing evenly on the glass on the outside, do one half at a time, finishing where the rear-view mirror goes.
