Hi All
I have an Uno 1,1 with 1108cc motor. I had an oil pressure problem which caused me to have to rebuild the whole motor. I have replaced pistons had the crankshaft machined, block skimmed , head skimmed. replaced oil pump from the agents ( original part ) replaced the oil feeder pipe to the camshaft and STILL NO OIL PRESSURE :bang::bang::bang::bang:

Can Anyone please give me some advice on this matter

Thanks in advance

What a downer after all that work. Its a long shot, but I wonder if the new pump needs some oil poring inside to ensure it is getting suction. Or is there a leak from delivery from the pump.

Hope someone comes along soon to give better advise.

Thanks for the reply. I primed the whole motor before startup so unfortunately that has been eliminated. What I did find a little bit earlier was that my camshaft housing is a bit worn. clearance is at 0.07 to0.76mm the manual says 0.07mm is max play to have. Now that is when motor is cold gap will grow when motor warms up. So it is a possibility. I will have to speak to the engineers and see. That was using a plastigauge. Don't know how accurate that is.

Another possible cause may be the oil pressure relief valve. Try fitting a pressure gauge when you remove the relief valve. If pressure is OK then it must be a faulty oil pressure gauge.

Hope this helps to pinpoint what is working and what is not.

Checked cam liner clearance and it is slightly over what the book says so I acquired another cylinder head had it pressure tested and skimmed. Did the rest now to install and hold thumbs otherwise it is strip right down to nothing and do fine inspection :cry:

UPDATE !!!!!!

Replaced cylinder head as had too much wear due to prolonged oil pressure problem AAAAAAND wait for it :slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer: it worked.

Thanks to all who gave input :worship::worship::worship::worship:
