Guess I'll start from the beginning.

Started with a mark1 Turbo Uno that was full of rust but complete and running, as well as a Uno 45 with sick engine.

Have done a full engine and box and loom etc etc etc swap so now have a Turbo 45 in effect.

I have a couple of problems though. Hopefully someone can help.

1) I have no fuel pump power, theres a thick red wire going through the firewall through the loom down to the pump, and there's no obvious plug for it. I need to find out where it takes power from.

2) I have no spark. I'm not entirely sure what wires go where on the coil, so if someone could shed some light on this too. I currently have a thick red wire, a thick light blue wire and a smaller yellow wire which all appear to go the coil.

3) I can't get the CVs back together. When removed, the driveshafts slid out of the hubs easily, and now I cant get them to go back together at all.

Can provide photos on the above problems if it's any help.

Thanks In Advance

Muzzie

hey bro,
about point number 1 the red wire goes to the system control relay to the pin number 87b(see the lower end of the relay you'll find the number, in case of you won't have them on the case of the relay)..............

and about point number 2 the red wire goes to the +ve of the coil and the light blue and yellow goes to the -ve side of the coil..............
take care and i hope that i've helped you ,good luck

OK, good to hear you found the problem. I didn't recognise any of your coil wire colours, and don't even know where to find the fuel pump relay on my Mk1 Turbo!

The CV joints - look around the splined hole on the inside of the joint - you should see a circlip with straightened 'ends' - you will have to clean some of the grease away first. It's difficult to part the circlip while pushing the driveshaft in - because the circlip pliers cannot engage with the straightened ends - but that is what you have to do.

No no, theres sleeves on the driveshaft you have to shove down over the circlip then bang the hubs on :)

It's easy when you know what to do :D
