Hello guys. I own a 999cc Fiat Uno(Mumbai,India). Very recently i got my silencer changed not from the Fiat workshop(Non-availability of parts) but from a local mechanic. The work done was good. But off late i have been noticing that the transmission tunnel of my car gets heated up quickly. The heat reaches the handbrake and also to the gear. I got it checked from the Fiat service center guys. They claim that my muffler is choked so it leads to the heat inside the cabin . Also one more reason being that the guy who replaced the silencer has done away with the heat sheild .
The heat is annoying because on the long runs the seats heat up too.
So gurus please advice
