999cc FIRE - oil capacity with filter change = 3.75 litres. That's according to Mr. Haynes and I can vouch for that from my own experience with the wee beasties!

So DuncUnoTurbo driving around in a 1.0 i.e. mk2 instead of a UT firebreather. Evidence indeed of the credit crunch!!! :p

How are you finding driving it in comparison to a UT Dunc? Must be a bit of a contrast to a UT, and I've bet you've already put your foot down at 70mph and wondered why it didn't accelerate!

ahh cool, cheers for the answer! so 3.5L is about right, will just top it up some more :)

hehe, yeah it's a little different compared to the UT! Its not really the signs of the credit crunch, it was just too mint to pass on it! Its easily as clean as my turbo shell, so i snapped it up as a run about :)

I'm going to make it a turbo replica, then eventually drop a turbo lump in.....but it might not be a UT engine ;)

I remember everyone wanted to race my MK1 UT replica  was quite a shock - and not to the other car :(

It's just so the wrong way round :p

You need an Uno45S Replica ;)

any ways sure it won't be long till you get a twink fitted :D

Basicly i'm just wanting to know how much oil the 1.0 fire engine should hold? Just done an oil and filter change and 3.5 litres seemed to be spot on. Is this right? Dunc

Yes, 3.5L about the total capacity with the FIRE when I changed the oil on one a month back. I don't mean to disagree with Chas or Haynes but I think that's OK if you've only fitted in 3.5L. It depends on how big the filter is, and how many dents are in the sump! :)

I'm not up on my low level unos lol!

Low level! Pah! Don't be an Uno snob ;)
Just because your 45 cost about the same as a set of wheels or a seat for your other Uno... :p

Seriously, you don't always NEED the excess of a stripped-out racer, I'm sure. Have you noticed how much smoother and quieter the little FIRE motor is? Noticed how you can go twice as far on the amount of petrol in the tank? And how there's a padded shelf (with click-in straps) behind the seats? :D

I'm not sure what Louie means when he says to get a twink in there. Oh hang on, I think he means a 'twin-cam'. Phew!

louie, the engine im dropping in wont be of fiat/lancia origin ;)

its readily available, cant handle 350bhp without internal mods, 500bhp isnt too hard and its strong as anything hehe
