Right ... What is compatible from other cars with a 1.4 uno . i know a cinq induction kit is meant to be . but what else ?

also how the hell would i fit the induction kit and where haha. totally new at this . i have a big black cover in my engine so im guessings my air filter is under that ?

The 1372cc uno engine is the 'lampredi' sohc design, which is the same design as the earlier 128/strada/lancia delta/x1/9 engine. Is yours the single point or multipoint injection model? I am not sure whether you can use 'carb' engined cams on your fuel injected engine, but if it is possible, it may be worth looking at swapping the cam out of say the 1500cc or even 1300cc x1/9, as they are higher lift and will give more power (at least in other carb type engines anyway) It may also be worth looking at compatiblity of head swaps/bigger valves etc if you want to go that bit further! (Tipo 1600 head uses bigger valves, and uno turbo head also does but again you would have to get advice on compatibility) Your engine in its current standard form is very 'detuned' so could be made to come alive very easily!

if it is the 1.4 injection model then the same engine is used in the Tipo. Possible be able to pick up any tuning parts from that? I dont know.

The Cinquecento Sporting K&N filter will bolt straight onto the throttle body. I know this as ive had an Uno 1.4 70ie in the past and did this. Other cinq inductions kits might be usefull too.

Theres not alot around as far as off the shelf mods go for this engine as its old and no modern cars use it so companies have stopped developing anythign for it. There is plenty of potential to have head work done.. its expencive but will get better results than just bolting air filters on :)

Supersprint also made a stainless cat back (where applicable) system for the 70. It was still available around a year ago when I had one so it might be worth looking for someone that still sells it. Would help the engine breathe better!

Another option for more power is to source a 1.6 8v tipo engine. its a straight swap for the 1.4 lump and would bring it from 70hp to arond 85hp.
