got a problem with my 99 ulysee
this has happened a couple times over the last couple of weeks even though we have had the car for approx 2 months ( bought 2nd hand not dealership)
unlocks central locking as normal you put key in the ignition then turn to allow coil indicator to go out b4 starting , turn key to start and car is dead . all power to vehicle goes? if you leave the car for 10/15 seconds and try again after approx 4 times the power will come back on and you can start the car.
on the last occassion i opened the bonnet and fiddled with the battery connections got back in the car and it started 1st time
with this happening we have now lost the radio and have no code to re set does anyone have any idea for this as well

Need to carefully check battery/starter/earth points/connections,definately sounds like where the fault lies.

Sounds like loose battery connections. Better to undo them and re-fit them properley. re radio code. I believe a dealer can get the code for you.

thanks for the advice , have just taken it to the local electronics place and they have had it on their machine and canot find a thing wrong with the car at all they have also had all the battery terminals off and checked all were in excellent condtion , so dont know whats wrong with it , if it happens again he will have to keep the car for a good deal longer and try everything from scratch with all the curcuits
