Hi all,
i have been viewing this forum for a few years for my ulysse and fiat stilo, but first time posting.
I am hoping to pick someone''s brains on a problem with the Ulysse.

I think the issue must be a relay but i don't know where to start and haven't found anything like this online. The car is totally dead. when the battery is connected there is nothing, no interior lights, no dash readout, no humming from the fuel pump - all is dead.
I have tried a different battery with same result. I have checked all the fuses in the car/ battery compartment and engine bay and they are all good.

Fuse board in engine bay is in good condition no signs of water ingress.
thanks for your help

Hi, :)
try a jump lead from engine metalwork to the BLACK / negative battery terminal.

I like this type of group but they only work when people regularly use them, these days hardly anyone uses this Ulysse forum, they have gone to Facebook, it works well as you get groups dedicated to specific models and notifications are instant. There is one for the EV1- https://www.facebook.com/groups/987524727995104/
This is the EV2 group- https://www.facebook.com/groups/Eurovan2/

still doesn't work..:bang:

pointless posting a link then:shakehead:

I'll stick to forums that are readable to the public.;)

I know what you mean, both work, I will continue to use both as the forum is a useful source of archive info apart from anything else. Actually the Fiat Forum has it's own Facebook page (see link at the bottom) it's not model specific though so not that useful.:-/

Thanks for advice Charlie,
had been looking down positive cables and fuses - should have thought of looking at earth as well.

Have tried jump lead on battery negative - no difference.

Idiot fuse on earth cable sounds like a possible. does fit symptoms. just need to find if there is one on the ulysse and if so where it is. next step is checking the other earth leads.
Thanks
Simon
