Lost my locking petrol cap somehow:confused: . Currently using a temporary plastic one. MOT is due on 23/3/06 and my local FIAT (Stockport) dealer is unable to source one either say they are now obsolete. Then tried Halfords and they do not make them either now.
Where can I find one? Without it my car will fail it's MOT and currently everything else on my Ulysse is working well.

Have looked on ebay, several on-line shops, and online breaker services etc to no avail:cry:
Does anyone know of another model/make car with same sized petrol cap eg if I was able to find a peugeot synergie petrol cap would it work?

Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks Mark (1996 'N' reg, petrol, 2.0 S)

I would have thought a Peugout 806/Citreon Synergie cap would fit - may be worth asking at their dealerships.

Can't you try and get a universal fit one from a motor factors or somewhere?

try swan street salvage mpv breakers there on e bay as maxyboy2003 page 4621071310 should be able to help you out(y)

:bang: After plenty of this.

I eventually found somewhere just down the road from where I live in Stockport who got hold of a compatable fuel cap for my Ulysse. :D

So just in case anyone else has this problem in the future this is where I got it from.

I spoke to Ivan Statham and the fuel cap cost me £13.95 - a bargain

Hope this helps.

What model is your Ulysee, bit ridiculous that they can't source a petrol cap part.

Doesn't hold out much hope for us now that they have decided to shaft the Ulysee.

Thought there was some sort of legal requirement of spare parts for a certain time frame after a model was discontinued.

The manufacturers are legally required to supply a spare part for a minimum of 10 years after the production of a particular model ceased production.

Unfortunately when a modification is made on a particular part more than ten years ago on a model that might be built till recently the manufacturer only has to supply the modified part.

But in this particular case I think that the dealer can't be bothered. But would that be any news?

Does it have to be a locking cap? I also have the 2.0s on a P plate and the central locking also locks the flap covering the cap so mine came with an non-locking cap. Have you tried to flip the flap with the car locked?
