Hi all
My timing belt slip over from the camshaft .
any one have idea how to return it back?
I don't know how to align it to the proper timing .
Thanks
Aharon

If your timing belt sliped, you must change him(buy new belt). The Procedure is next. You must find tension pulley and slack it.After that put tht new Belt.On camshaft you will find jag.Turn on camshaft jag to jag on engine.Do the same on primeshaft. Now stretch the tension pulley.Let the engine rotate 2-3.laps.Stretch the timing belt by tension pulley.Your timing belt must live at least 50 000km.

Sorry for my bad English.I hope that you conceive me.

Hi Predrag
Thanks for your fast answer.
My english is also not very good..;)
O.k - I found the tension pulley , no problem here.
I found the jag on the camshaft.

I did not understand "Turn on camshaft jag to jag on engine"
Is there any mark the camshaft jag should align to?

Thanks
Aharon

O.K. Give me your e-mail and I will send the picture. You have the Jag on engine near the Camshaft.Second (engine)jag is on the plastic(tree striples).

is there any valve damage when the timing belt goes?:(
The valves and valve guides suffer damage when the belt goes on the 1.4 not sure about the 1.6
