I have a 1992 1.4i.e. formula which won't start. After much investigation i have found that it has the 1.6 ignition system on it (with digiplex box).
Fuel is getting to the carb.
There is no spark from the coil.
Wiring to coil is all ok.
The coil has been tested and is ok.
Wiring to digiplex box is all ok.
Is there some sort of cut off switch fitted? and where is it?
Car ran fine this morning but jacked up car to check exhaust and hasn't run since.

I've had a similar problem with my Tipo, I don't know a lot about cars but I found that it must have been a loose connection. 2 seconds of poking a couple of wires fixed it. It's happened again and the same thing worked each time. This will sound really stupid but sometimes just rocking the car slightly fixes it too.

the throttle paddle spring has gone. the throttle paddle is in the fuel line and it controls the amount of fuel that is being let in when you jacked the car up it opened it and it flooded the engine the spring needs replacing
