General Quick question about Uconnect

Has anyone been successful in getting them enabled? I've had a conversation with Fiat and they say that this free of charge addition can only be done at the factory

Is this right? Sounds utterly ludicrous to me personally however I'm finding the dealers for Fiat in Central Scotland (cough Arnold Clark cpugh) are either unwillihgnto help or won't bother to answer the phone, let alone fob me off!

Contact fiat in Italy they will ask for a copy of your license and log book via email it takes them approximately 2 week to sort it out

If your car is an ex-demo/ has the dealer as the first owner Fiat UK can transfer the Uconnect into your name,i had to do this and it only took a couple of emails,if it's a brand new car as long as the head unit is set up for live services it should be similar ?

Just had it enabled on both our cars - as stated above contact Fiat, via the phone number on the uconnect app, they will send you an e-mail for you to send a copy of your driving licence and V5 whole process took 24 hours per car.

Now that we have it activated do we have, in effect, have trackers fitted to our vehicles? and therefore benefit in a reduction in our insurance?
