Cheers everyone, glad I managed to do it.

Will post up how I manage to get on with them, I'm giving the car to a friends garage to put the speakers in, I hope he doesn't screw up!! Kinda scared of letting it go.

Fitting isn't too expencive.. is it? Will have a quick search to see how much adapters will set me back just incase they'll be needed.

The company called Iceclearout. I phoned asking if they reckon those speakers would fit, etc.

Well the convo went a little like this...

"Hello?"
*phone seemed to be faffed around with*
"Hello?!?"
*Sounded like a really tired man* - "hi"
"Hello is this Iceclearout?"
"what?"
"IS THIS ICECLEAROUT?"
"yes, how can I help you?"
"Well I looked at those speakers on your ebay shop...blah blah, any ideas if they'll fit?"
"dunno"
"well, can you tell me from your experience if 160mm speakers tend to fit the Punto's 165mm speaker space? and if they don't what can I do about it? Adapters maybe?"
"we don't offer refunds so research yourself because we can't have them returned"
"okay, thank you... bye"
"bye"

Interesting or what?! ... basically he sounded like he was in bed, asleep, I think I woke him up!

So I'm weary from ordering from that company. I think I'll be buying speakers from Caraudiocentre or other simmilar companies.

Is this definently a NO NO? The price seems good for the brand, and the specs (The speakers won't be amped externally, just from HU)

Ugh, who ever thought car speakers could be so hard.:bang:

I had ago today at taking the plastic grills off the door speakers and had a look. Wiring seems easy, I guess it's just a matter of unclipping the speaker atm and clip the wire into the new speaker.

used to have these in my alfa they have a clear if bass shy sound,
they should be easy to fit as there quite shallow and no seperate crossover, however you may need to run a new wire to the tweeter as the original ones have a small connector
