Yep i know of atleats one VW comeing. Oooo if you dont bring your punto Beetle get my vote a proper classic.

Yup not long know officaly marks the beggining of my meet and show season.

did someone say 1970 beetle... i've had 2 beetles, where he from, what colour??

He's a Pastel White 1970 1300 Beetle called Archie. He was bought in Doncaster in June '10 and has been SORN for the last 21months as restoration. We've been working on him since purchase and is booked for MOT this coming wednesday. fully replaced engine, gearbox, refitted interior, resprayed and full rewire on the electrics. :bang:

oooo pretty :)
I loved my Bugs, and i will at some point in the future have another, preferably slammed lower than hell itself with a narrowed front beam and huge twin webers. Also it must have Porsche Cooky-cutters (wheels for those that don't know). Its so rare to see them on a Bug, just about the only wheels you don't see all the time these days.

a couple of Izabelle, as i'm wandering down memory lane.

Cheers mate! He's currently parked outside today as the garage he's normally in decided to collapse (n) Luckily the beetle was out been MOT'd,

Btw.. HE PASSED HIS MOT!!!!! WOOO!!!!! :D:D:D and the new Classic Tax disc is in the window.

That beetle is gorgeous. would love one in that color. :) by the looks of it during the re-spray of Archie that panels have been replaced, when sanding down the front arches one was Red and the other a similar blue to that. The rust attacked!!

quite rare to come across original arches i think. That car was on its thirds set according to the old skool 'real' history i had with it. Also on its 4th set of running boards, 3rd set of bumpers and god knows how many tail pipes lol. pushing 200k miles on its original engine and still going strong though - can't knock them really.

Colour is original but not original paint, but can't remember the name of it - and yes she was very pretty and i'm gutted i had to sell :( It was destined a set of white-walls and vintage roof rack with period coca-cola cool-box. It would have looked so ace.

But we digress, if he fancy's a trip out tell him to come, i will be at the meeting point at least and would love to check it out ;) Stereo in the van is back to life now as well :D

Re: Yorkshire Fiat

I'm actually from Scarborough and would be more than interested in attending if you guys will have me. Kinda a bit of a noob on the forums so I hope that doesn't matter!

19 years of age incase anyone cares.

Deffinitely up for a trip to the pub with my fellow Puno owners. Sounds like a plan to me.

Re: Yorkshire Fiat

ok nice 1 m8, u got some mods planed then

are u going to meet us in york :)

Definitely some upgrades to the in-car audio when my bank account recovers, haha. External visual upgrades will be have to be put on the back burner for the time being.

I'd be up for the whole leg of the drive starting from York, yeah.

Am I okay to bring a stock car along? I'm afraid it won't be much of a head turner compared to some of the others that will be there from what I can see.
