Yorkshire Driving Day

I'm gonna start sketching out a rough route too tonight. I'm bringin a different co-driver this time so he can navigate :D

If anyone is interested, Argos are doing cheapo 2-way radios. 2 for £19.50. Would be helpful. I already have one(y)

Have a good time everyone who's goin, would have liked to have gone too, look forward to hearing about tho,

nath,

I have spent 2hrs on my car today in preparation for tomorrow, ive washed, polished, leathered, vacced and dusted the sei, i took some pics but they will be on another nitght. It is shining like a conker! It would win best in show at crufts......or should i say car-ufts! (y)

Mine has had a wash, interior hoover and window clean and i've fitted my custom fitting hands free kit aswell which cost me a total of 25p (all new parts!). The car is really sparkling tonight. Looks fab. Hopefully the weather will be nice and warm like it was here today. It was v.toasty in the middle of the day today. Nipped out in the car at lunch and it was boiling inside it. The boss sent me to Homebases car park with a wad of leaflets titled 'We are chepaer than homebase!". Got caught too. The guy in homebase uniform glaring at me with a carrier bag following me and screwing them up was not inpressed. I had my windows down, the sunroof on full tilt and sunglasses on. Hopefully it will be the same tomorrow.

I wish I had a two way radio. Too late to get one now though. If anyone has a pair so has one spare who is coming, it would be handy and I would be very grateful.

AppleSei, hate to break it to ya but washing it ain't gonna help you much! :p

Unfortunately, the other one of the pair of radios I bought got knackered by a mate. Oh well. We'll work something out. I've been doing a bit of work on mine since gettin home from work. Still not finished my plans, will have to wait for another day

OK, just seen the weather on ITV:Tyne Tees. All is looking good. Slightly cooler than today but still bright and dry

....bring it on:cool:

Hi all.

Those that didn't go, you missed out!!!
The 4 car loads of us that went had a great time. Did some seriously tricky country lanes and seen some great scenery too. We went through places like Grassington, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate (had lunch in a nice pub there too), Thorner and Bolton Abbey and many more places too. Mainly by going along "white roads". The walkie-talkies we used were a god send at complicated junctions and when we got split. Was quite funny when I was on the M1 after me and John (AppleSei) lost the group and I was still in contact all the way to the next junction. lol. Sadly we lost John at the end in a bit of confusion.

Overall, it was a great day (even though a **** in a Vectra and a copper who followed us for ages tried their best to ruin it) and i'm up for it again later this year.

Photo took about 45 mins ago...

Im sorry 4 the disappearing act, i asked gaz to get off at the next junction to turn around and go back, however

a. He didnt follow
b.I shudnt have got off where i did bcos there was no where to turn round, by the time there was i was almost home so i carried on goin!

Cant believe that vectra the prick!!
Caused me to miss a corner 'slightly' :D

I did get off at the next junction where you can turn around. You followed on to the A1. I signalled to you to follow as I was in radio contact with the group. Never mind. That prat in the Vectra deserves to have an accident with the manner he used on the road.
