General Yellow!!!???

Right so Ive just got a yellow Cinq. Sp. after swearing Id never buy one in THAT colour....I came round to the idea recently after seeing a mint one in a car park and thinking that doesnt look THAT bad...- and I was getting 'desperate' for a Sporting 6 months in an 899cc...(not as much difference as you might think!!!)
Anyway I reckon theres 2 schools of thought :
1 Yellow is a 'design classic' colour synonymous with performance cars eg got to be 2nd or 3rd most popular Ferrari colour,Boxsters etc and of course FIAT Coupe!!!
2 Who would willingly choose THAT colour for a 'cento Sporting?!Obviously it was either the only secondhand one available or a new one in another colour would have taken to long to order/arrive...(To be continued!)

So ...now the missus tells me not to dare collect her from work(Park in the Tesco across the road!!!)Im dreading the p*** take from my work colleagues when I return... and is it just me or are people less likely to let you out in traffic queues...in fact are they just LOOKING AT YOU(!) a lot more than normal?!Now dont get me wrong Im not shy (drove an MX5 in the past-Wife REALLY hated that!!!)but Im having some 'post natal depression' /'buyers remorse' while still liking the car to drive...(Id own one now even if it were pink with purple spots)
So non yellow Cento owners what do you reckon?And yellow owners any coping tips!!!???No hate mail please!!!

i loved the looks i used to get in my yellow sei, most where in disbelief, or a wtf impression

i noticed all the 'boy racers' always used to egg me on to do something, but im sensible

i always used to get stick in work for having a yellow 'roller skate' or 'toy car', but things like dont bother me

in the blue cinq i feel unwanted, no heads turn, no kids point , hopefully with a stupidly loud exhaust or a dixie horn i will get the looks like im used too

My Stilo is yellow. I waited six months for a yellow one so I could be as far removed from the blokes at work with their silver Astra's/Focus's/Golfs.

Just getting a Stilo was not enough, it had to be yellow to go the whole hog. And you know what, they love it

yellow rules, i get all the kids looking, tis great. I hate boy racers who think they can go round a corner faster than me, beat loads on roundabouts. I tried playing with a scooby round and huge round about and lost in the end as he floored it off the roundabout and down the motorway. I think even he was shocked that a cinq went that fast round a roundabout

Plus your car is easy to spot in a shopping centre car park, comes in handy in the middle of xmas.

...I wish my Cinq was Imola Blue...!Are the yellow ones rare in the UK they are VERY common here in Ireland (as are the Puntos,Coupes of course and to a lesser degree Bravos/Stilos etc )We always get the cr*p spec /colour cars eg one litre only models of cars that arent even available in the UK in that size!!!Mid sized tdi hatches very rare...No SportKa ,Saxo GT etc etc...Lupo GTi cost more than TWICE as much as standard model....MINI here is considered a LUXURY car...in the UK its in group tests with the Yaris and Micra.All due to our diabolical Vehicle Registration Tax ((Illegal)Import Duty by another name) and Insurance (at least thats a BIT better than it used be ...) .....(Ok Rant over...!)

I love my yellow cinq :woot: but get lots of stick for it but no different to any of my other cento's but then again my red cinq was chavved up with undercars etc so that turned heads just as much, and my sei well the exhaust turned heads

if you buy a cinq sporting you just have to get it in yellow its not not to.

ppl may laugh but when they watch u take off at the lights there smile/smirk soon dissapears :yum: .

you have just got to love the attention you get in them, especially with a nice loud exhaust so they thing its a performance car then they see you :slayer:

I have a black one sporting now, had the choice of yellow, or red, but went for black as I dont see many black ones around. Used to have a white 's' but that was a wash once a day car, otherwise it looked dirty all the time.

Thought about yellow, but thought it was too loud for me, and its the only colour you usually notice them in
