Right.. I'd sorted out a great day/evening & night out to cater for all tastes at Xscape in Milton keynes.


BUT


the guys up North say it's too far, why not Xscape in Castleford.



Well.. apart from the Premier Inn at £70 a night, where else is there on the M62 near to Xscape we can walk to after we've all had a drink and some fun???



If you could please help me out, we can change the location.... if not, im sorry but £14pp for a bed is better than £35pp!!

Shaun, the idea of the stop over was so we could have a few bevvies together. If some people do not want to then fair enough. Personally I would rather have a good time and stop over somewhere. But, I will go ahead with whatever the majority decide.

yeh i know that, but im thinking more of, christmas lol people struggle enough with the ****ty ecconamical times as it is, im ean im even struggling to sell free services thats how crap it is lol

just worked it out from where i live in the manchester area, its over 150 miles to milton keynes, lookin around over two hours drive, don`t fancy doin over 300 miles round trip in one day somehow, perhaps come up with another idea?

if we go to the milton keynes one its approx 1 hour 40 mins for me,

im not having a go at people or anything but it seems like unless it's on ya doorstep you dont want to go, i can understand some people esp if the live all the way up deep dark scotland.

Right then....


The idea of the christmas meet with a stop over was to enable those who have a long trip to stay over and split up the driving.


For the past 3 years I've personally driven 150mile round trip for a 2hr sunday lunch and a quick chat!

This year it's the same distance BUT I get to drink and spend 24hrs having FUN!!!



Manchester is a 3hr drive and I'll be buggered if I'm gonna drive all that way for a 2hr meal then 3hr drive back.... Im commetted but thats just silly!




I can understand if you only wanna come for some food and don't fancy bowling, comedy club, few drinks then anything over 50miles will seem pointless BUT it's all a bit of give and take.



I'm going to start a new thread to find out, just how many people wanna have a meal and how many wanna stay the night..... then we can revise the location ( to Lincolnshire).

i`ve been down to Lincoln before to have an exhaust fitted to Scratchy a while back off Lee and i`ve also been to the kartin/campin meet earlier this year plus the meets of last year too, includin the first meet i sorted out at Xscape 2007, so i`m aware of how it goes and the amoun of miles people have to travel, i am considerin going and if anyone else who wants come down but doesn`t want to drive they are welcome to share the car on the way down

All threads noted and decision is tough every year which is why we devised the league table.
Some of us drive a hell of a long way to get to some of the meets and never have anything on our own doorstep. This year I have covered 1,100 miles to just 4 meets.

TK, I'm game whatever mate, just let me know when and where and ill get along.

The main idea of a stop over was as said, for those that have a reasonable drive and dont fancy driving quite a way just for a couple of hours and not being able to enjoy a pint or 2 with their grub. The meets we have with an overnight stay before or after are usually the most popular due to the fact we all get on, and how often do you really get to sit back, relax, sling a few tinnies down your neck and chat to a big group of fellow nutters?

Blackpool for me would have meant driving 5 hours to hope that the weather held in December... no ta! somehwere like MK, or Cov is pretty central for the majority, and have a decent amount of stuff to do (bowling, comedy clubs, indoor karting, indoor skiing etc etc etc...) enough for us to have a good day of it and not just a few hours with some grub

Let me know whats happening on me mobile folks, as im not getting on here much due to work (says he whos sat in the office already)
