Hi guys, I have a 1.2 grande punto active in blue and I'm thinking about getting the roof, bonnet, and the bit in between the 2 grills wrapped in Matt black. I also have tsw alloys which came with the car so I'm considering getting then wrapped black aswell. I have the rear windows tinted black. I definatly want the bit between the grilles done but I'd like your opinions on the rest. Do you think it would suit it or look crap? I've been quoted £265 to wrap the roof, bonnet, rims, wing mirrors and bit between the grill.

What do you think?

My car is blue. And i dont really want it to look chavy I just want it to looks awesome haha so you reckon the bonnet would be to much? Just get the roof, rims and behind the number plate done?

DO NOT wrap the bonnet, it looks crap!!

The bumper between the grilles looks ok and a black roof looks good on some colours, dont think ive seen it on a blue car.

IMO matt black looks worse than gloss

Ok I won't get the bonnet done :p

Any other recommendations on what to do and what not to do to my car?

Hi there. Click on my signature, see my car ( when it was blue ) with matte carbon vinyl bonnet. Didn't look too chavy.

Also do not waste 265 quid!!! If its just the roof then u can buy 1m x 2 m wrap for like 40 quid and do it with ur mate - it's easy. Mirrors and wheels. Again do it urself just but matte black plasti dip cans. 1 can for mirrors, 3-4 for all 4 wheels and 1 can for what ever bumper detailing u want. Can mask it there and peel it while dip still wet to give u nice sharp line. 15-16 quid for a can of dip u can save urself 150 quid towards other mods!!!

Have any questions or after any tips about doing the job urself I'm here to help ;-)

I've wrapped the bit between my grill matte black atm and it looks awesome, but I want to swap it for gloss black and do the roof and wing mirrors to match my alloys (I have a blue GP too). Don't let others tell you what to do if you initially wanted the roof and bonnet then do it, it's your car and if you want it to stand out and look different then I think that would be a great way. I've seen a couple like that and imo they look good! What I would say is try and do it yourself first, if you do it right you're gonna save a hell if a lot of money, just gotta be patient with it. Best of luck!

I'm going to get the number plate bit, roof and rims done. Ill attempt it myself at first. Where is the best place to buy the stuff and what exactly is it I need to buy? And Ill go Matt black because my grills, wing mirrors and plastic bits where fog lights should be are Matt black. I've just replaced my headlights and side lights so that should definatly improve the look at night anyway. Ill take some photos and post them later and then post some pics after I've got it done.
Thanks a lot guys!

Btw I want to tint the rear lights so how do i do it? Do I just buy a film for it and stick it on like you would to wrap the car? And what's the stuff called?

Already got my back windows done mate :-D ill see what I can find on eBay haha

I'd say it would depend on the colour of your grills. Mine are Matt black so I'm doing mine that colour

Personal preference dude it's your car at the end of the day if you wanna do the bonnet you go for it :) if anyone objects it's down to them to hate if you wanna do it go ahead :) I've just done my mk2 vinyl boot matt black bonnet and chalkboard roof not fussed if people hate it my choice btw am no chav before anyone says anything black and gold suit my car :p

I'd say it depends on your grills, mine are Matt black so that's why I'm getting it done that colour

I've decides to get the roof, rims and behind the number plate done first. Then I might get the bonnet done depending on how it looks haha hoping to get it done next Saturday! Need a full day as it will take ages for the wrap to dry on the rims.

Post pics when it's done! Been wanting to get my roof wrapped for a while but just haven't got round to doing it! Really wanna see what it looks like. Also how much did the roof cost if you don't mind me asking?
