wot to do with a spare MK1 radio in SAFE MODE?

Changing the subject slightly I ve got a MK1 radio its in perfect working order however when I disconnected the battery it went into safe mode and the key code did not work so I just got my self I MK2 radio for £20 off of ebay so the question is wot do I do with the old radio? Its not locked out either.
