Technical Worth replacing glow plugs ?

Hi Bubblegum,

I guess you have solved this now, if not sounds to me like the engine isn't getting enough air. If the large tube to the air filter is lose then that will be the cause, alternatively the sensor it connects to could be naff, had this recently with mine. Is easy to disconnect the sensor and check if the power returns to engine when driving. did this a month ago and working fine now.

Hi, yes sorry I haven't said how I got on back in January. It was the large hose going into the turbo charger that my mechanic "forgot' to put a clip on so it was barely getting any air into it... he forgot to put it back on when my glow plugs got replaced. Two second job for him to fix...free obviously...

Car back in again at the garage with two front broken springs and getting new brakes...must be its age...the (several) previous owners have not looked after it and its all needing replaced now. Seems to be every two months something needs done.....more money!!!

The thing to remember with glow plugs is that they are only used to start the car, they dont carry on like a petrol once its running.
