yea, you put both wires next to each other (parallel) and close the lock, and it splices the 2 wires together so you dont have to cut and solder any wires

got a pack from maplins (85p) and some wire so will start fitting it later,first i gotta do some excercise, aonly one bit of soldering to do now tho....thats good. could i use the tubes that you crimp,to avoid soldering the wire that goes to the coil and then wrap it in tape?!

if you have a maplins then heatshrink tubing is better thantape for under the bonnet connections. solderings not to hard with a little practice. just remeber the iron is to heat the job not melt the solder

all wired in, lights work (colours are great) now my HU doesnt work, and the rev counter dont count revs!! :bang:

have you checked the HU wires and fuse? gauge must have live & earth so its down to the other connections.
are you sure the coil connection is correct?

Theres 2 green wires on the coil that pickup the revs - if one doesnt work, try using the other wire... Im sure it was the furthest on the outside that worked for louie (and for me too AFAIK)

And make sure you've picked up the right igntion live wire (otherwise it wont count revs either)

tried both green wires

now i think about it when i was feeding the red wire up i touched somet and got sparks! (im so dumb!) which fuse is it for the HU!? maybe HU is down to the fuse then (if it is will the fuse run the rev counter aswell being as its connected to the HU power supply)

lol well if there both connected and both are off its a cert you have popped a fuse.you should have the battery disconnected when you are doing these things

hey good job luke.I am really liking what you did with it! Very similar to mine and mine changes to 7 colours as well.You also mounted it in what seems to be the same place as mine!!I will take some pics of mine so that you can see how it lights. Yours seems to be lit from the left hand side but mine lights from the back....nice just the same You think you can post some pics of how you mounted it pls? Also, how do you manage to take such good pics in the dark without making it blurry?? Did you use a stand of some sort?
