Technical wont start

pulled the dash out of my x250 ducato to clean the evaporator alls good started it up to check all was working now that everything has been fitted it wont start .Checked the inertia switch alls good can i run a jump wire to the fuel shutoff on the pump to move it while i wait for new cables to run multicuscan engine turns over just wont start any help much appreciated Cheers Adam
 
feeling like a mug/fool here just goes to show the more you know the less you know in my attempts to solve the problem i assumed it was something major even went to the stage of replacing the ecu with a spare (dealer stuff up from earlier) checked every wire ,connector ,fuse,and relay was about to dust off the old fluke can bus tester and work it all out that way With the helpful words of my wife ringing in my ears (it has to be something simple) i searched further and found the transponder ring around the key barrel had fallen off slipped it back on and it started .Beer time now as i put it all back together again Cheers adam

Lol, reminds me of a long story I have and my dumbness about a dolomite sprint :cry:
