Got a new wishbone for my Bravo 1.2 other day (60quid and I got it for 25 from Eurocar parts due to knowing someone ;) ) and when trying to change it, two of the bolts have snapped, the longer ones.

I phone Fiat, and asked them how much for the bolts, and he rang back and said he had pictures of loads of bolts, and he didn't know which ones to order, even though I'd given him my reg, and I am in now way technical eough to know which bolts are best used for fitting up my wishbone.

I am in Sheffield, can anyone tell me a place which can supply the bolts, and what bolts I will need? It's kinda hard getting to Fiat due to no car, I have tried Screwfix since I pass there on the way to work, took my old bolt in, and they gave me two bolts that are similar but... I don't think there is enough thread on them.

Help massively appreciated thanks :)

Use link at top of page called ePER, (use this link) bung in your chassis navigate to suspension page and have a look, it will even give you the part numbers, granted it is the 2005 version but it will give you a nd Fiat a start point for the bolts. :)

Thanks matey, un sure how it all works though, you'll have to all forgive how naff I am atthis kind of thing, plus I don't know my chasis number, is there any chance anyone will know what bolts they are? Burried under a lot of work too at the moment, trying to do a million and one things.

I think it says on ePer that M10 bolts work? I'm certain the ones I got from screw fix are M10's but there isn't enough thread on here I'm sure.

BUMP!

Want to try and get this sorted tomorrow, so any help tonight would be immensely great for me :)

What exactly do you mean by not enough thread? The bolts aren't long enough or the spacing between the threads of the new bolt is greater than that of the old bolt?

go here to get your chassis number, as long as you know your reg number

chances are your M10,s from Screwfix will not be long enough, at a guess I would say M10x81 are the longest ones, then comes the x62, and the x30 if you look in the Quantity box the x30 has 4 but the other two only have 2 so I am wondering if on certain models you buy the set of 4 x30 but on other models you need 2 of the x81 & 2 of x62 to make the set, so perhaps you should buy the x81,s as they at a guess will be the longest, then cut two down the length you need with a hacksaw, I hate when car manufactures do this make life so hard.
