Hiya,does any1 no how to wire a double din stereo. I bought a harness for my double di satnav and all was fine. Then 1day the battery went flat and again a week later. I bought a new battery an all was fine an then it went flat again a few times. I was just bout to change the alternator but put the old blue an me stereo back in out of curiosity. Now been 2months an car has been fine. The stereo i got frm hong kong must be goin str8 2the battery and still usin power even thou its turned off. I was gonna wire it to the cig lighter but its to awkward to get too. Iv a fiat bravo 1.4active 2007. Any ideas would be great. Thankyou.

Does the unit switch off with the ignition? If so then it sounds like a potentially fault head unit.
If not then this'll be your issue

Didn't need to do this in mine, canbus operated with the patch lead for the steering controls

DO NOT wire it into the electric windows. Who ever told you that needs shooting, the electric windows work on a very sensitive canbus network! Wire it in directly to the ignition switch, or into the cigarette lighter / power aux which is ignition switched
:yeahthat: The window trick is OK on older cars, but these new posh cars with their CANBUS nonsense don't like it.
Ignition barrel if you think it'll be easier. Don't forget there is ease, and then there is doing it properly
