Technical Windscreen wipers and Heater not working

Hi i was wondering if someone could help me i have a 1.2 Fiat Brava W reg (2000 i think). And recently my cars developed some faults.

1: My windscreen wipers don't work properly, basically the speeds are messed up. On the first setting the windscreen wipers go on medium speed. On the second setting they go on medium speed. On the third setting they go full speed. Also when i turn them of instead of returning to the bottom of my windscreen they just stop dead in the centre of my windscreen.

2: Roughly around the same time my heater has stopped working as well. The fan blows on all the different setting at different speeds but no heat is coming out.

Now i don't know if i've got this wrong but i read somewhere that in the fuse box next to the steering wheel there are 2 yellow relays and one of them cotrols the heating and windscreen wipers (i think that was for a 1.6 though). Could my problem just be that i need to replace the relay and things might ok again ?.

your wiper motor needs to be repositioned or the wiper links have gone! it happened to mine the links were gone and when i replaced them they still stopped in the center of the screen so i got the motor repositioned and it was fine!

if you ask for links they make you pay £150+ for the links and motor and say "you cant just buy the links". which is bull! i got mine off ebay because i only needed the links that cost me £22. saved on it and when the motor got repositioned it was only £15 so £37 is much better than £150.
