Technical Windscreen wiper linkage

Well my windscreen wiper has currently became a spaz for a bit, wipes so far that it goes off the windscreen and pops up. Quite funny to watch.

Popped the bonnet open and had a look at the wiper linkage and saw this

Ah thats not the normal punto failure....

Best bet is to resin it in
Drill a few holea and put some suitable self tappers in

But for me itd be a new linkage set

Never seen tht failure on the forum yet.

You can see it was crimped in, so like ziggy says.

yea by looks of it - the plastic has snapped clean off

Anyway for the OP

i did some grafiti for you

Red Squiggle - Resin glue
Red Arrow - Resin glue in here

Blue arrows - Some small holes and then get some self tapping screws in this general direction

The screws dont need to be miles long
Not so short its not going to last

My other advice is this
Mark where the 2 should align up correctly (tipex or a Punch mark set or deep grooves what ever you fancy really)
Take the linkages out when doing this
As i would try to get screws all around if i were you - but again be careful not to overstress the plastic
I'd drill holes first - so the resin can ooze out the holes and it means the self tappers will tap into the plastic and set in the oooze
Those screws wont come out

If it fails again = new linkage
