General Windscreen Swap

Ok I cant put it off anymore... My broken windscreen needs swapping as the fuzz are starting to get interested. I have a nice laminated one from breakers courtesy of Seat Marbella. How hard is this going to be? I have been told laminated screens have a low tolerance of being flexed or messed about with

Hi there,

Your windscreen really should not be too difficult to fit. Gently ease the broken unit out being careful not to damage the rubber if you are going to reuse it. A smear a silicon or similar lube on it will aid the insertion(if that is the expression I am looking for!) Putting a loop of string around the rubber will help retrieving the rubber's edge and save a lot of digging out with a screwdriver. Be gentle with it and it should be fine. Best of luck.
