Well im another proud user and I'd say don't bother its s**t. Hardly any of my games work and a pain in the ass to activate with a 'dodgy' key . I

Its also very very slow when your first using it as Microsoft in all their wisdom has added a stupid file index system.

Just a screenshot its starting to look a lot more like Mac which is a good thing :).

I used the Beta for a few months earlier in the year and found it a great operating system.

Didnt get any problems with slowness.

Are you using the 32bit or 64bit version?

It'll be better once all the software manufacturers change their software to run on it, that was the only drawback I found, none of my graphics and editing programs would work with it, but I'm sure they'll soon update software.

I'll stick to Windows XP Media Centre Edition for another year until they've got software and bugs sorted out though.

I think you'll get a lot of problems with Vista if you're using a dodgy key, it's got Defender built in and a lot of security that tells Microslop what software you have on your machine so you won't get away with using non kosher stuff anymore.

Does Vista not have a compatability wizard like XP???

I thought it would have.

I like the slim taskbar, but you can get that with windowsblinds on XP, I like the recycle bin too.

It won't report to Microsoft as I have a Netscreen 5GT firewall with all Microsoft related IP's banned. It its not too bad now its just while it makes its first file index ;) now I must say its as fast as XP :).

And the only thing I've noticed doesn't work so far is Need for Speed Carbon. Everything else I've tried has.

Dumb question, am sure, but how and where did you get it? And how did you install it over xp? I wouldn't mind giving it a go. :)

There are a few torrent versions out there ;) some good, some not so good.

I am avoiding it for now, probably upgrade next year when I rebuild my system....
