Windows Vista

Vista's good.... but, the drivers lack a bit...

I run hacked up XP drivers for my X-Fi, and they are ace, but the official vista ones, suck.

Nvidia drivers are terrible, total crap infact.

When i get these two drivers i will be a happy man.

And all the guys complaining about Mac, you can just run it on normal PC hardware... soo.. ;)

Macs are exeptional in education or if you're just a basic computer user, but when you need all those other highly legal utilities and applications you gotta have Windows...

OR

Buy an iMac and install Windows and have the best of both worlds...until you want to upgrade your hardware :p

So I would have no issues whatsoever running a MAC OS on this machine?

I run a CounterStrike Source Server every night, and play on it. What about my Flight Sim X, which I play over a network? My PC games collection is quite vast as well.

I use Lotus 123 still for work, along with Excel as well.

I use a Tax Return/Accounts/Corporate Suite as well, so no issues with that?

I don't have any issues with XP [Vista still to come] - so why would I even want to go to a Mac

We are running vista on our PC now we have had it about three weeks now I seems quite strict and wont let you do some things on the pc and need the software as stated which isnt available for some applications my biggest worry for me was having a program for maintenance and that isnt available from vista yet but my oldest boy found one that was compatible and works just fine so I can clear faults and defrag the pc each day :) I'm not a PC buff and very basic in my knowledge of all things PC Stuee aint you proud of me :) come a long way havnt I :p

I use both a pc and a mac. if it was my choice I would not be using ME. As i sit typing this now, with one ie window open, I can see there is nob all system resource and the processor usage is 100% and the HD light is on constantly. There is no reason for this, cant see anything on the task manager that would take this up, so time for a restart and breakfast. (i can make and eat a bowl of cerial while it does this:) )

I like using the mac, but I dont use it enough so dont know how to fix things on it or a technical level with it, ie i have a problem i can sort on a pc, but on a mac i dont. Plus its not on the internet.

Sitting where im sat at the moment is the dark ages, windows ME, dial up, crt monitor........

Time for an upgrade don't you think? I work with Apples so I know quite a bit about them, it isn't that hard to figure stuff out. If you don't plan on using your computer for gaming then you should give one a go, they're pretty straight forward and you don't have to worry about viruses or spyware :)

and you don't have to worry about viruses or spyware :)

Cos no one writes viruses for such rare computers!:p

You know why they put a handle on the apple G3 was it? So when it breaks you can hold it in one hand and open the wheelie bin with the other:worship:

On the pc you just remove the side panel and replace duff part.
