Hi folks, got a strange problem :-/ drivers side window switch will only work when door is open. The drivers side passenger switch has never worked (had it changed at garage when i bought the car but still never worked)

I have unpluged the plug from inside door to main body when you open door and had a look but not to sure what to do?

I have tryed kicking it and swearing at it but i don't think it helped.

Any idears would be great thanks folks

Given the door position affects whether it works, I'd say it must be a break in the wires as they run through the trunking from door to body. If there is no obvious damage to any of the wires, try wiggling each in turn whilst pressing the window switch to establish which has an internal breakage. Then solder in a new piece of wire or get an auto electrician to do it if you're not handy with a soldering iron.
