Hi,
Don't know if this has been asked before but has anybody got any idea how to adjust the windows on the B. Whilst driving back from the ACE wife complained of wind noise. Also when left parked in rain water leaks in from the top as it is not flush. The window seems to sit out further than the windscreen seal on the A post. With the wife outside I can buzz the window up with wifey pressing the glass in slightly and all is fine, however she then opens the door to get in and all her good work has gone to waste.
Thankyou
Harry

Sorry to trouble you guys again. Thanks for the info on window adjustment, the thread shows passenger window/door and 3 screws, I was about to adjust the driver door but can only find one screw on the door handle and no others, can any on help
thanks again .Harry

Hiya! there is three allen key bolts to the handle , well! depending on which side. if its the passenger side then first remove the handle with the three bolts. 2nd, behind the door catch /release, you'l find a further smaller alen key bolt and remove this. WARNING!! do not attempt to pull this off at this stage. 3rd , there is another small allen key bolt on the tweeter and remove this, the tweeter can then be removed by a slight turn.

Now prise the panel back carefully untill you feel the catches have been released , the door catch should still be on at this stage and when you feel all the catches are off, push forward the door panel towards the hinges and this will also release the door catch.

Now the panel is off you can remove the top metal plinth by three screws visable.

With this off you will see the top two adjusters . these govern the height the window travels so you can stop it lees or give it more. the bottom two adjust the in or outwards movement of the window.

Hope this helps. (y)

PS: The drivers side is the same but no need to remove pull handle.

Great info! Was just about to ask about this myself. B tends to leak some water at the front corner of the window.

Note! the windows will only bennifit from good adjustment if the white plastic guides are intact. These tend to break if you or others haved pushed on the glass to close the door. YOU CAN SEE IF THERE BROKEN WHEN THE PANEL IS OFF! They are next to the bottom adjustment screws.

Fiat dont sell these on there own, but here is a link to stonger moddified ones should you find them broken.

sorry to trouble you guys again, have got the panel loose all screws removed but still can not remove the door handle, does the outer trim remove from the handle or as shown in the diagrams the handle and trim remove together, have tried mild brute force but don't want to break it or admit defeat and take to work for our mechanic to do.
Thanks
Harry:confused:

Hi Harry, have removed the door panels a couple of times... but don't have the Bee here at the moment.. i'm sure the handle comes off on both sides but there is a slight difference... maybe caps fitted over the screw heads??

then the main trim panel can be released (after removing handle escutchions... 1 screw plus push it in 1 direction to release the clips??)

I believe that to gain access to 1 of the screws the painted panel at the top of the door has to be removed too?

hope this helps....

Hello again.

Try sliding the panel forward at the same time your pulling away, there is two clips that hold the handle. if you pull away straight , chances are they will break.

slide it towards the front of the car and it will come away with the panel.

Putting it back is easy , you just push it on.

PS: make sure you have unscrewed the small allen key that supports it. (y)

Thanks guys,
Have just put back together as getting dark (pitch black) no street lights in Norfolk! I pushed, pulled, twisted, levered and gave up,the lever was loose but just would not give, who said Fiat's fell apart.!!
Dropped the last screw that holds in the tweeter and you have guessed it have not followed my number one rule I did not put a cover over my gravel driveway to catch any small blighters. The B need to be backed over this area to park, after a lot of searching by torch light I have just found it,so a least my tyres won't be picking it up. May try again tomorrow,so thanks once again.

I decided to try to adjust the window on the driver side today. I want it to push more against the rubbers, the height is about right (I think). But I had problem finding out what I have to adjust to get the window closer.

Everything removed:
main.php

These two pictures show the screws to adjust the height/tilt, right?

Is this the screw to adjust out/in? I didn't dare to use too much force on it, it was pretty stuck. :chin:

Hi
I could not work out which one myself I adjusted my window up and that has made a good deal of difference almost stopped the water getting in. I would like to make the same adjustment as you.
