General wind noise from drivers door

6 pot brembos ;)

had a look at seals all look good so will phone stealer tomorrow to see if theres a mod on them (y)on earplugs

the dealer would probs be best to simply replace door seal and see if it stops it

i cant see the body panels being out of shape they are checked very closely in production

but i wouldn't go trying anything yourself under waranty especially tweaking the door no matter how you do it you will compromise the paint finish and integrity of welds and may end up with some clicking lose spot welds and flaking paint over time and i'm sure you wouldn't want to do that to your car

running tape up the door seal at the front and getting in the passengers side is a good way to find out were it's coming from

ooo do you have a sky roof

as we had one today with the same sort of wind/trafic noise in the same place looking into it it looks as thou there is a problem with some of the sealing around solid sky roof models
the car does not actually let water in but you can feel air coming in if it is blown between the glass and roof area

I have just waded in with my size 10s on and sorted the wind noise from my passenger side door. It was coming from the front top corner, so I just opened the door and put a cushion between the frame and door on the opposit corner and pushed quite hard. Bounced a few times then went for a drive. It is fine now! All noise gone, remember years ago going round the Vauxhall plant as a visitor, seeing the guy who fitted the doors whacking the crap out of 'em with a bit of four by two and a big hammer! Sp I thought what could possibly go wrong?!

Get some wide masking tape and seal the top edge of the door where you think the noise is coming from. If it disappears you might be able to gently twist the frame to make a better fit to the door seal. If it doesn't cure it keep on using the tape on other areas until such time as the noise disappears and then at least you will know where the problem lies.

That's an excellent hint.

For easiest removal, I'd suggest using 3M blue low tack masking tape of the sort used for masking off when spraying paint.

I am going to try that, got a feeling its the roof now, I found a gap in the door/window seal and did twist it, using careful application of force. :D
