Hi, Im new here, well been browsing the site for a couple of week since I got my Stilo Jtd, I was wondering if anyone can help me, I have bought some wind deflectors from ebay German seller, when we have put them on the windows sruggle to come up past them did anyone else have that problem, is there a remedy? we thought maybe try filing some of the edge of but was worried that they would come out due to not enough stress applied....regards Joy

i got the same problem. i got mine from i imagine the same german seller. all i did is push the deflectors up tight in to the top of the window frame as possible. it is tight against the glass. but it will settle and get better.

Those wind deflectors really are a a bad fit and it was reported in another post on the forum ..its always best to go for genuine parts when you add accessories to the car you are certain then they will fit correctly..

Does the same go for window blinds by any chance?

Was looking at both them and the wind deflectors on eBay, as they always crop up, and thought about getting both at some point.

Can you get fiat original wind deflector?

The windows blinds wont have the same effect as the wind delfectors. I have found the stilo the have a unique feature where if it has been raining and you brake the water from the side of the roof comes straight into the car directly onto the window control! What a design!

Hmm this is a usefull thread does anybody have any pics with them on as i am fed up of having the window open in the rain (im a smoker) and it all coming inside also do they stop this.

Does anyone know how much fiat would charge for a set of these wind deflectors as i could do with some.

I have the genuine Fiat front window deflectors fitted since October '06 and paid 28 quid. They come with a plastic double sided wedge (one thick one thin end) that spreads the window channel when you work it around prior to fitting the deflectors. Quality of the deflectors was a little variable, one needing trimming and the other being ok out of the box.

Wouldn't be without mine, look good too on a black car as the're smoked grey

I also had a set of the Heko deflectors on my Stilo from a German eBay seller. Whipped 'em off and sold them when I quit smoking..... now smoking again so could probably do with another set - doh:doh:
They were a good fit on my car but they were an issue on the next car I believe, the securing tape on the Heko jobs isn't up to much to be honest. I'd substitute it for something a wee bit more substantial (y)

Genuine Fiat one's are an interference fit, once you have managed to get them in position, they stay there without any sticky pads/tape. Main issue on one of mine was flashing on the one moulding. :)
