Technical will they fit?

Hello there mates!!!!
I was thinking to change the front sits of my 3 door uno with the ones the turbo has but today i thought why i dont change them with the sits of a 3 door cinq. the question is will they fit has anybody else done it and if yes how? or does anybody has sits from a turbo as i cant find any at the scrappies

Hi cm246,

Turbo seats are a bit rare TBH. If you keep your eye on e-bay, sellers breaking Turbos advertise now and again – just enquire when you can.

1. Tap in the seat stoppers on the rails, just as much as you could get a screwdriver in between afterwards to bend them out again.

2. Ubolt front mounts.

3. Slide seats out rearwards.

4. Kick in new seats.

5. Bend out seat stoppers.

6. Use the NEW clamps on the front mounts. This is due to 3-door version. (If You've got a 3-doot version skip this...). The 5 door clams don't support seat tilting. You'll understand when you see it.

7. Tamtamtaaaa. Drive with new seats. Buckle locks might be worn, so change them with your originals.

I tend to skip step 5, have never bothered... and also you missed:

3.5. Remove carpet, re-secure handbrake lever with longer bolts and large washers, find wire for handbrake lever switch and install switch if not fitted, remove soundproofing and replace if necessary, add extra underlay for more Uno luxury, replace carpet with one from more upmarket model...

Also, what does 'Tamtamtaaaa' mean? It's a new word for my day I assume it means 'Ta-daaah!'

Hehe. Have you seen "Cannonball Run"? Propably... Anyway there is a characther named Captain Chaos (Victor Prinzim for those who know) who uses the phrase "tamtamtaaaa!" when he unveils himself. Just as superman when he removes his ordinary man disguise. But superman doesn´t brag.

But "Ta-daaah" will do the same... Have a nice day fellas.

i have the UT seats, look mint and are comfy as f**k, and they hold you in more than the standard yukky tartan seats......go UT seats!!
