wide band sensor

wide band sensor

could you elaberate please mate?

is it something needed in a custom ecu job?

You'd need an ECU that can understand a WB02 signal, the Bosch ECU only understands narrow band, ie what its got.

Unless you're going to use a good custom ECU with good self tuning and a WB02 input, ie a megasquirt, (awaits anon comments to the contrary) AND you're going to map it yourself a WB02 won't be of use to you.

A rolling road will have an AFR sensor which they will use to map your car.

chears,

ill just get a cheap A/F ratio meter instead then as it is only really for show

you have another option...

you can get an aditional boss welded into the downpipe and use the wide band lambda purely for air/fuel ratio (this is what i have done on the coupe) however as yours is for show whereas mine is to ensure my mapping is correct in all conditions i suggest you just get a narrow band it will still look pretty which is all you want :)
