O.k. ... you have a good spark.
Do you have any fuel coming through at the right time ?
Take the air filter off and have a friend* watch the jets whilst you press the accelerator 2-3 times. Can they see petrol squirting into the carb ?

*( somebody who likes you ... I get mine at Rentafrend. wot))

Poster states, new distributor cap, suggest check plug lead order at cap.
Possible, camshaft 180 deg out when repacing belt.
Recommend, do not run engine until head bolts properly torqued.
Recommend, ask someone who knows more about engines to advise.
Recommend, stay away from Easystart, it does more harm than good.
Rgds.

Ok, will stop using easy start. but i'm not sure what you mean about 180degrees becuase the two markings, one on the camshaft and one on the crankshaft are both matched up to where they should be according to Haynes Manual.

Just finished doing that, the pistons are set to TDC1 now, i have also checked by looking through the spark plug holes, the timing belt is on and ready to go.
Thanks for the advice, hopefuly i'll be starting it in a week or so cos I got a lot of work but i'll post to let ya know

Will
