....always the easy jobs that do your head in :(

It has just taken me 2 hours to change the oil.

Got spanner rash freeing the seized sump plug and radiator rash getting the oil filter out. (Radiator rash: Unlike the traditional spanner rash that usually consists of one large flap of skin hanging off; radiator rash consists of about a dozen parallell cuts obtained from the radiator fins.)

No matter how careful you are you always lose half the contents of the old filter onto your engine pan and leave oil drops everywhere for a week.

Technical tip. Fit a Champion F107 filter rather than the stupid little Fiat one, it costs the same and is twice as long so you can get to it easier next time.

Anyway, did an oil flush and put in some ZX1. She now sounds sweet as a nut :D Just hope the neighbours don't notice the oil on their path ;)

I know exactly what you mean, I had just fitted a secondhand exhaust to my panda, and decide to change the plugs and air filter as well. Whilst I was rigging up a cover over the bonnet I tripped over the flowerpot and sliced my right thumb......ouch and 7 stitches later..... As always no one around to help so had to clear tools away and drive myself to the A and E dept.... hellofaway to get two weeks off though...
